The next few paragraphs tell you more about the range on offer but the element we can offer that is often not available is knowledgeable advice from qualified dispensing opticians. We can advise you on which style will suit your facial characteristics and your prescription, this is an incredibly useful starting point.

If you see a particular frame that you like but it isn’t quite right we will be able to tell you which other frames are that little bit bigger / smaller, in that different colour that you’re looking for, or just very similar but in a different price bracket. These are some of the benefits of having qualified dispensers who know their frame stock. We have the technology to take pictures of you with trial frames on and then replay them to you so you can see them on a computer screen with your own prescription on. You are now being empowered to be able to choose with the benefit of knowing what your options are.

We carry a very large selection of frames that ranges from budget to designer frames and we find that due to our competitive pricing we dispense more of the better quality frames. As well as the well known “names” such as Gucci, Burberry, Christian Dior, Diesel etc. we have also assembled a range of frames that the public may not have heard of but opticians certainly have. Why not come in and try on the incredibly light and classical Silhouette range or the immensely bendable range of frames from Flexon and Eschenbach. In the optical industry the comfort of Stepper frames is legendary, their designers start with the bridge of the nose to ensure optimum fit there and then create a frame that looks as good as it fits, light yet durable with classical rather than avant-garde styling.

Exclusivity

We carry the collections from LINDBERG from Denmark, FACE A FACE from Paris, BIRKA from Sweden. These collections have been chosen as they are all very individual, beautifully crafted and have an exclusivity that cannot be enjoyed with mainstream names. As well as looking great they feel different and wear well. If you are going to wear something on your face, which everyone looks at, wouldn’t you like to see how good a job can be done rather than just settle for the commonly available? Youth Appeal
We have used Diesel, Miss Sixty and Adidas brands to make sure we cover this area well and the huge Oakley range also has an ophthalmic collection as well as the ability to put lenses in almost all their sunspecs range.

We take care to ensure that although we want to offer budget priced frames we don’t want to supply poor quality frames. We achieve this by carefully selecting a minimum standard within an acceptable price point and will always offer a pair of complete spectacles as an option at no extra cost to all patients who are eligible for help under the NHS voucher scheme.

Often patients choose to upgrade either their lenses or frames from this starting point and we carry various ranges between the two extremes of budget and designer, often these are made in the same factory as the designer frames but do not carry the premium price tag that goes along with the designer name. Safilo is a huge Italian frame manufacturer who brings a lot of the designer frames to market and yet its own brand of frames deserve consideration in their own right. Their manufacturing quality is so robust that I have heard them described as “Friday night’s for fighting frames” even though that is not a necessity if you wear them!

Children’s frames are well catered for with a wide range of styles including Barbie and Action Man. We use smaller lenses to craft better looking and fitting spectacles where necessary, there is also the opportunity to use the advanced modern lenses available to maximise these benefits.

Sports spectacles and sunspecs are available from the well known names as well as the ones that we know deserve consideration due to their technical excellence.
